I have some lovely knives and recently acquired some lovely slips to accompany them.
I realised while there’s some fine slips and sheaths made to complement traditional knives there isn’t really a place (I’ve seen) to celebrate them.

I’ll kick it off.

A beautiful sheath done by sbh06 sbh06 for a very special knife. “EK” for Ellie’s knife.
What more is to be said, the craftsmanship is outstanding and aesthetics speak for themselves.

I'm not much of a slip guy but I made this one to be able to pull this out of my side pocket and it works great.

The clip slip is something I've never had before and I'm really liking it! Might need more. Definitely need one for a 112 lol!

This next one is a very nice burgundy chromexcel. No it hasn't messed up any knives. I made it for another stag Wrights but really never used it. A Simons sowbelly lives in it now.

A number of years ago knifeswapper knifeswapper introduced a number of these Slips in various sizes and colors and they do the job .

A few years ago one of our forums members , who has made saddles , offered to make me a slip and I asked that he put his Maker Stamp on the front of it . It is a slip that will last a lifetime . I have carried various sized knives in it .

I always carry a Stag Handled knife in a slip .

Thanks for the kind words Hatchet_Jack Hatchet_Jack and JonMcD JonMcD !

I’ll echo Harry’s sentiment regarding John’s slips. This one has aged well in the years I have had it.

I also want to highlight the work of another maker here, one that is a great friend, an outstanding mentor, and an even better person. Since I started out in my leather craft journey, Coleman Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery has been nothing but positive and encouraging of my work and I couldn’t be more thankful. He is also a great craftsman, to boot.

Very kind words, Jeremy. It’s been an absolute pleasure watching your leather craftsmanship grow. Your friendship has been a blessing and I’m still rooting for you, my friend!

Belt sheath by Modoc ED Modoc ED for a Case 6265 with leather from a U. S. Navy leather satchel (where else are you gonna get leather on a ship at sea?) in 1966. Holes hand punched and stitched by hand with you guessed it, U.S. Navy waxed, telephone cord.

The gnawed areas on the belt loop was courtesy of Maggie our black Cocker Spaniel at the time.
