Slip & Slice - traditional slips and sheaths

I've made these two ones. They have been wetformed to wrap efficiently the knives and protect them from wood dust. I make a lot of heatwood. I carry the first one every day since 10 years and the second one since 4 years. They are holding on. As you can see aesthetic isn't my main concern.

This one is in a whole different class. A gift from JohnDF JohnDF JohnDF who made it. The picture doesn't make it justice, beautiful.

I related in Post 19 above that I'd given my 6265 and the sheath I'd made for it to a nephew. Well, about three or four years ago I got to missing the 6265 so I got another from the 1965 - 1969 era and made a sheath for it. The leather is a softer leather but very durable. The thread is from the same spool I used for the older sheath. I like this style sheath because it allows the bolster of the knife to ride below the belt line and not jab me in my spare tire.

Favourite is the Blue Ostrich belt pouch
Here's it's second cousin twice removed, 🤣 🤣 🤣 some Emu. Just such beautiful soft leather.

Cracking thread topic 👌👍
I “umm’d & arr’d” long and hard when it came to what to make for my Rider by CC. but in the end it was obvious.. love carrying it like this.

- very nice too. Great stitching and design.

Have just had a couple, similar, made for me to house a CR Sebenza - at 45º it makes a darn convenient carry as well.
