Slipjoint deal of the month and a common affliction..

Whatta score Longbeach!!!! Nice ones, atta nice price! So are you cured?????? (I hope not;-)

Those older Weidmannsheil knives are pretty decent without being expensive. I have two like that one, and several other models.
This one is an older 2 blade sportsman model in stainless

Which brings me to the subject at hand.. I was lining up my newest slippy's purchased over the last 30 days doing the usual mundane chores of processing, categorizing, labeling, lightly oiling, lightly wiping, fondling, examining, fondling(wait, I said fondling already:eek: ) and then storing and so on, and I realized the very best deal of the month should be shared with the rest of you all, and you all vice-a-verse-a. So please feel free to respond in kind if you wish. It will give us an idea how we all are doing in the market of knifedom.. ...

Hi Tony! This is Lora...I just found this posting and I must admit, I think I'm in love with you! ; ) I wonder if you categorize and label all your stuff the way you do your knives. If you like order, you should see my pantry! Plus, we are HUGE music lovers. I have all vinyl albums(I know we show our age here)alphabetized, labeled and a master list. Our CD collection resides in a juke box and I have an Excel spreadsheet so Eddie can find just exactly what he's in the mood for!

Back to the SlipJoint Deal of the Month- Check out mine! Of course, you can't beat FREE, but after all, he IS my husband! This was Eddie's first slipjoint that he made and I have the honor of owning it. I know my pictures aren't as good as Eddie's, and not nearly close to yours, but you get the idea. It's a nice, clean simple knife that'll cut anything I need to cut and looks so fine. (you didn't think he just did fixed blades, did you?)

All my love,
Lora

Hey Lora,
That is one beautiful stag scaled custom by Eddie!. I think his slipjoints are very sweet indeed. One of these days I hope to handle one at one of the shows you all frequent. Thanks for showing it off!.

I love that little blade! It's the only one I've been able to finagle outta him. Just as I imagine the carpenter's wife's cabinet's falling down, such is the life of a knifemaker's wife....a good knife is hard to come by around here...they all have somebody's name on it. Speaking of which, I know Eddie started work on your scales today. I can't wait to see how yours turns out! sorry...i digress and that's another forum.

Blessings to you,
Lora

ps. if'n any moderators are lookin', why can't i get my own login name??
