Here's another new combo that I'm trying out...a slipjoint knife with matching diamond file hone. Here's the specs on the knife:
Swayback Wharncliffe with CPM-154 blade and backspring.
Dyed and stabilized maple burl scales.
Liners and pivot are stainless. Liners are dremel relieved (no mill yet) and jeweled on the inside.
Knife frame is pinned together. The scales are screwed/glued over the frame and stainless mosaic pins were added to cover the screw heads. This is a new construction technique that I'm trying out.
Blade is hollow ground and belt (satin) finished and is just under 3" from tip to scales.
Overall length is 6 7/8"; 4" closed.
Backspring is a hair low in closed and half stop positions, flush when open...nice walk and talk.

Now for the diamond file:
Fittings are chrome plated.
Turned barrel is made from the same dyed and stabilized maple burl as the knife and has a highly polished CA finish. There is a mammoth ivory accent at the clip end.
File has round and flat surface plus a groove for sharpening fish hooks.

INTRODUCTORY PRICE for the set is $200 including CONUS shipping. First come first serve as usual but must be 18 or older to buy. Paypal will work fine or contact me for other options. The diamond files can also be purchased separately and can be made from most any material that can be turned with normal turning tools. So, if you want one of the files made from your favorite material, give me a holler. Chances are I can hook you up. Thanks for taking a look...any comments, questions, or suggestions are welcome. -Phil

Thanks for the encouragement guys! My needed equipment list has grown since I started doing these slipjoints...eventually I'll get tooled up proper. I'm also attending the Ruple/Preston slipjoint class next month to learn more about building these knives. I'm really lookin forward to that.
