Slipjoint knife

The Case Tru-Sharp stainless is of comparable quality to a SAK. Nothing special, but completely acceptable and functional.

My vote is for Great Eastern. They are some of the nicest traditional slipjoints going right now; neat patterns, 1095 carbon, and an interestin variety of handles.

I forgot about GEC! My Trapper is comparble in everyway to Shatt & Morgan quality, outstanding!

So far my choice would be Queen. D2 is tough but a good set of diamond sharpeners take care of it OK- just make sure to start with coarse and don't do the whole thing with the ultra fine!

I'd say around 4 to 5" when closed
1 to 2 blades, but more is not bad. I [ Love or hate???] those clip point blades!

Use for the knife would be "normal". :) Not too abusive, but not a decoration either.. Basically anything you can do with knife outdoors and why not indoors too.

OK, now we are talking!

In the link look at the Amber bone or Maple:

Large Toothpick (single bladed) 5"
Mountain Man (with or without Lockback) 4 1/2"
Large Hunter (one and two bladed) 5 1/4"
Swing Guard (Lockback) 4 1/2"
Cattle King (3 bladed Stockman) 4 1/4"
Premium Trapper (2 bladed) 4 1/4"

Also the GEC Pioneer 4 1/2" (single or double bladed) in carbon
