Does anyone use graphite to keep their joints lubed. I had Buck Knife oil for years and it had graphite in it. I tried regular graphite on my new GEC and it seems to work ok. What type of oil does everyone use on their knives?

Mineral oil applied with toothpick. In a pinch, any decent oil will work. The old 3-in1, Hoppies gun oil, a drop of kitchen vegetable oil, even a drop of oil off the dip stick of your car. It's a pocket knife.

I have a small bottle of oil with moly sulfide mixed in. Works great on any pocket knife, it is pretty much a requirement on Chris Reeve knives - my work carry knife for years.

One drop of rem-oil or 3-n-1 oil (Whichever is handiest at the moment it is needed) on the joint(s).

I use my Victorinox Waiter to cut up apples frequently, so I regularly have to rinse that knife under hot water and then re-lubricate.

Judicious application is the key; you don't need too much oil on the knife.
