[Slipjoint] - Ordered these, any good ?

I am glad to see interest developing on BF in slipjoints, specifically Case. We are a small outfit by any standard, but knife for knife, we sell more Case than all other makers combined. Hmmmm..could there be a well kept secret in these numbers? Case is argurably(sp) the most collectable knife line in the world. Heck, many actually go UP in value. Now, don't get me wrong....I get as excited as anyone when a new Spydie or BM box arrives, but there is true 'romance' in the Case line...(no cracks from the geek crew). We got the Cheetah Silver Script in a couple days ago...it was just like Christmas...stopped my real job just to see them. Took me back to the '70's when I bought my first Cheetah...nice feeling for an old fart. 0.02 md

In the last several weeks I've bought a few Case knives. I really like cv. The best thing to do with cv, IMO,
is to get a patina on it and not have to worry about any kind discoloration on the blade. I used hot white vinegar
and apples and fruit on the other one. A member on the traditional forum told me to get a patina and then put the blade
in hot water.

My single blade trapper in cv with a thumb stud and a liner lock is by far the sharpest knife I have. It came scary sharp.
You want to use the 30 degree setting on your knife. The blade is so thin, I'm quite sure Case probably sharpens their
edge at 15 degrees.

If you like these Case knives you bought, you'll be getting more like I did.
