slipjoint pull too heavy

I don't use 2-56 barrels....the pivot barrels are 6-64 as I recall.
I use 2-56 screws to hold the scales to the liner frame.

fancy hardware I get form Steve Kelly at Ticonnector
most other screws etc like 2-56 screws I get from RB Johnson 320-558-6128

most screws and barrels have to be ground down to size/length...
I don't do countersinks, I counterbore for the screw head to sit lower or flush.

Is it a big pain? every operation on a slipjoint is a chance to screw it up :D every operation has to be thought out, planned and setup properly or it doesn't go well.

these are examples of the pivots I get from Ticonnector

I am looking at ticonnector site and smallest diameter pivot i see is 1/8" threaded for 2-56

oh yes you are correct, I have used 1/8" pivot barrel (with 2-56) in my earlier builds....but I no longer use this size for pivots.

But I sourced the 1/8" pivots from RB Johnson, you have to cut/grind them to the length you want.

Sorry, my wife gave birth earlier this week and the baby has been keeping me up all night. I thought for a second 6-64 was smaller than 2-56. Thanks for the leads!

Harbeer, one last question please - when you put scales on with those 2-56 screws, do you glue them as well as the screws? OR, are the scales removable by removing screws?
