One very intersting aspect on slipjoints or multiblades is the specialized nature of many patterns. There are horsmans knives (or ferrier patterns), electrician knives, and on and on. Many could be classified as "early multitools". I would guess that they their popularity originated in Sheffield or in Germany.
Bastid, that is one beautiful Roger's whittler. What is the closed length and blade length of the wharncliff? Also, I need contact information for Mr. Rogers, so I can order on of those babies.
