Slipjoint/warncliff suggestions?

I was just looking my collection over, and I don't have any nice slipjoints. Looking for a "church" knife around 2.5" blade length. Not looking to spend much more than 70CAN(my income tax check thats coming), so about 50USD range for the top.

I've been told to avoid CASE from the QC, and I've looked at a Queen. Not much to handle up here.

any suggestions?

How about something from A.G.?

I'd have to agree with Buzz on the A.G. Russell American Muskrat, sweet looking knife. I've been eyeing it for a while but I would like the stag one.

I have posted several times on the Case Seahorse Whittler. It is one of the best new case knives I've seen. f&f good, w&t stout, blade alignment right on and though the steel is not the best it holds an edge better than I expected.
You can also check out the Bulldog Viking whittler. I have the 2nd cut stag with carbon blades and it is my church carry alot of the time. Both of these are in your price range. I'm sure there may be more but these are 3 good choices.

I'm not a salesman or representative so I hope it's OK to pass this on as information only.

If you go to the website of the company mentioned above, you could pick up a Camillus Abalone celluloid stockman that fits your needs, for under $20.

Hope this is OK.

Must be something in this northern air, as I've been looking at the same sort of slipjoints for EDC (Wharncliffe master blade, carbon steel). No interest in Case because of the stainless.

I've found two of interest (have never handled either though):

Winchester Wharncliffe Whittler
www.s-denterprises.com/bluegrasscutlery/index.html

Bulldog Wharncliffe Whittler
www.knifecountry.com/bulldog-brand.htm

Winchester is wharncliffe and two smaller pen blades, while the Bulldog is wharncliffe, and a smaller pen and coping blade, which makes it more desirble IMHO. Unfortunately for us Canucks, Knifecountry says they will only deal with payments by snail-mail if you're a new customer and ordering from outside the US. The wait for the mailman is long enough, without waiting for a round trip via USPS/Cda Post.

Just throwing these two makes up for consideration, and wondering if anyone has an opinion on either of these blades.

ah what the heck, for 20 bucks I'll take a chance. I went ahead and ordered the 2 blade congress to supplement my Buck 301 stockman I ordered last week. These look like a great deal.

I was searching online for information about celluloid, and a couple pages I found said that the old-style celluloid hasn't been made since the 70's. I wonder if this celluloid isn't "Real" celluloid but some type of plastic?
