Recommendation? Slipjoint with modern stainless steel

Wow, these are all fantastic suggestions! Sounds like I have some searching/looking up to do! As far as budget is concerned, I'd want to cap price somewhere in the neighborhood of $150-200. I sort of assumed that customs would be out of my range but I'd be open to it if I could find something nice in that price range. Really like the Lionsteel options, especially with the sheepsfoot or clip point -- not as big a fan of the roundhead. Also really liking the Enigma pics and am looking at AG Russells.

I have one traditional in CPM 154, the Northwoods Indian River Jack made by Queen, but sold out.

It's based on their #99 model and with a spearpoint.
It's one of my 2 absolute favorites in slipjoints.
They also made a droppoint version still availible from one site.
There's also a Barlow for Nortwoods with either clip, spear or sheepsfoot blade, but sold out since long.
All in CPM 154.
Fällkniven has the LTC slipjoint in sgps with anodized aluhandle.
I don't have it (yet), but I have used the U4 lockback since it was released.
The sgps takes a wicked edge and hold it for a long time.

Personally I would like to see a Peanut in CPM 154 at RC 60.

Regards
Mikael

LionSteel Otnat in 390

Queen's Tuna Valley line from 2012-2018 all used 154-CM steel. The 2016 teardrop was one of my favorite patterns.

The new Canal Street Co-Op knives are coming out in 154CM. The first batch included single blade lock backs (3 3/4" closed) and single blade boys' knives (3 3/8" closed).

You're right, I like mine. Technically not a slipjoint, but it works well.

I guess so, without a back spring, but it looks like one and feels like one. Detent-friction folder is a bit of a mouthful and maybe not correct. And since PeterS84 specifically asked for a knife that looks traditional, I think that the Viper should get a mention.

Carrying a Boker Davis II right now, it's blade is made of N690. Have several Queens in D2, another Boker Davis II which is a lockback in S30V, and a Queen Dan Burke Cattle Knife which is BG42. There are many traditional knives made with upgraded steel, just have to search around a bit and you'll find something you'd like.

Hi, Railsplitter. I am much interested. Could you please give me more information? thank you very much.

The Case/Bose Norfolk comes to mind if you find 154CM acceptable. I got an email just a few hours ago from a dealer I can't mention here that Case recently made 100 more Norfolks in Damascus.
