Ham cooked in Coke is great. The secret is that it has ginger and sugar, the staples of Chinese cuisine and citric acid which is a tenderiser.

Crockpot Pot Roast with Vegetables
10 3/4 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic
1 box beefy onion soup mix; 2.2 oz. size (both packets)
1/3 cup dry red wine
1 tsp. dried rosemary; crushed
2 cloves garlic; thinly sliced
3 lb. boneless beef chuck roast
4 carrots; in 2-inch lengths, then halved lengthwise
1 parsnips; in 2-inch lengths, then halved lengthwise
5 medium red skinned potatoes; sliced 1/2-inch thick
fresh dill; chopped, garnish
Whisk soup, soup mix, wine, rosemary and garlic in an oval 5 1/2 quart or larger slow cooker until blended. Add beef; turn to coat. Arrange carrots, parsnips and potatoes around meat.
Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
Remove meat to cutting board and slice. Place on serving platter. Remove vegetables with a slotted spoon; arrange around beef. Spoon some gravy on meat; sprinkle with dill. Serve remaining gravy at the table.

Crockpot Chicken with Kielbasa and Rice
2 cups onion; sliced
2 cups celery; sliced
4 cloves garlic; crushed
1 1/4 cups chicken broth
6 chicken drumsticks; skin off ( 1 3/4 lb.)
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4. tsp. pepper
1 lb. kielbasa; sliced
2 cups 5-minute rice
1 large red pepper; in narrow strips
scallions; chopped, garnish
Mix onion, celery, garlic and broth in a 5 1/2 quart or larger slow cooker.Rub drumsticks with paprika, salt and pepper,. Add to cooker along with the sausage. Cover and cook on low 7 - 8 hours or until chicken is tender. Remove drumsticks to a large plate and cover to keep warm. Add rice and pepper strips to cooker. Cover and cook 15 minutes or until rice and pepper are tender. Sprinkle servings with scallions.
