Slow Down a Grizzly

Hey guys,
Is there any way to slow down the belt speed with out changing the contact wheel?

I've seen one or two makers who essentially removed the stock motor, and replaced it with a pillow block/shaft assembly that utilized a step pulley and another motor. You could theoretically do the same and substitute a VFD / 3 phase motor setup as well.

Do an image search for "grizzly grinder mod" and you should see some examples of the step pulley set up.
