With cutting China out of a lot of work with larger import tariffs and taxes we will get more U.S made knives and such. It will be worth it to pay at least 30% more in the U.S on knives. It will be nice and worth it to have all that work be moved back to the U.S.A! We can afford a large increase as long as we get U.S made. Finally!! I don't mind paying a larger price for U.S made knives!

okay. SERIOUS.It is happening as we speak. Not trying to be sarcastic. It is a fact. Example in manufacturing is galvanized steel prices are up about $.20lb because we pretty much shut China down on their zinc. They produce about 40% for the world. May cost more for stuff but at least it is all coming back to the U.S. Knives are going up also as we speak because the manufacturing is moving back here. Paying a lot more here is better than buying cheap stuff from China!

I just received a Spydeco Polestar, made in China, it is every bit as nice as any USA Made Spyderco I've ever handled and it was $60.. Just FYI.

I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

If the taxes are applied directly to some imports, the tax will be payed by the consumer, it affects us as knife nuts, it doesnt affect one of the worlds largest economy, China is growing at a fast rate, the goverment may be socialist, but they have a semi-capitalist economy, taxes are not good for any country, the consumers end up paying the tax, basic economics

This is not a knife topic. It is a political topic. Bladeforums rules require it be posted in the Political Arena, and only by paid members.
