Sm. kindling hatchet

Hi All. I just wanted to share this. I was using a carpenters hatchet to chop kindling and it did the job. But I could not believe how much better the H-13 does with this type of work. The wood just pops apart! Thanks everyone. This hatchet is a joy to use.

Lycosa,
I am glad your Wetterlings Wildlife hatchet works well for you!:thumbup:
I think it is one of the best deals in traditional hatchets right now.

Littleknife---Thanks for the hook-up with the H-13. I got a great deal on a great hatchet! You D hatchet man. I'm spread'n the word, too.

I also started with a 13H. I bought it to try out and have never looked back.

Dusty,

I hope someone answers about the Japanese hatchet. I almost bought one just to try it out myself. I could never find any info on it other than what was in the catalog.

I've had a Estwing splitting hatchet for years and you couldn't find a better tool for splitting firewood.I don't know off hand what the call it , fireside friend ??
