Small >2" Folder Suggestions...

I just received my Boker Subcom F and love it. It is just under 2 inches and it is very compact with a wide handle and wide blade. It is design more for self-defense.

I think the Wegner Mouse or Mouse Lite are perfect for your cause.
I second the mouse lite. I have one. More a little knife, it fits the hand pretty well. Also, for nylon handle, it is quite grippy. Very similar to G10. Better blade steel than the Boker Subcom F too.

I like them both.

Ordered the Mouse Lite!!

Thanks very much for your help; I knew y'all would come through.

Another question though...Is it really going to take 6 weeks for shipping for that little guy? It said on some items it would take up to 6 weeks but it didn't mention anything about knives. What are y'all's experiences? Thanks in advance.

Depending on how small you want ot go you might take a look at the Spyderco Ladybug. I have their forest green serrated model on my key chain and use it all the time. Great little knife.

I just started carrying a Ladybug instead of my larger knives, as I've been on a quest to minimize the amount of crap I carry around. The Ladybug is teeny weeny, but does all of the mundane urban chores I requires, like cutting envelopes, boxes, twist ties, ect. Plenty of cut-ability but its so small you could almost swallow it.

Also went from a SAK ranger to a LM Micra, larger flashlights to an Arc AAA, and ditched half the junk on my janitor-like keychain - and its nice not having my pockets full of junk. But thats for another thread.

best regards

Good for you. I think you'll like it.

I think the six week delivery estimate is for some of their kydex holsters, which they make to order. Give them a call or send an e-mail to inquire as to the availablity of the Mouse Lite. (While your at it, ask them about the availibility of the new Ganyana - I'm thinking of ordering one)

You got it; I'll definately ask. Beautiful knife isn't it? I should be callin around 1500 as they're on PST.

That's not the only spelling error in this thread, gentlemen. But thanks for that correction. :)

There's no better second knife than an SAK. With the SAK as a secondary knife you get a good, capable blade, plus the addition of some very handy tools.

My main EDC changes from time to time, but I've always got an SAK in my left pocket. My EDC right now is a BM710 with a Vic Soldier on the left side. There are plenty of thin, easily carried SAKs out there.

Why do you need a second smaller knife? If there's something your main EDC can't do, then you need to rethink the main EDC. Granted, I've only had it for a few days, but I don't see anything my 710 can't do, and I'd much prefer the addition of some other tools on the SAK to a second blade.

But that's just me.

There's NOTHING that I've found that my D2 Grippie can't do per se; it's more of a "just in case." For instance, Just in case my left hand is occupado (yep I'm a soutpaw) and I can't let go of or stop what I'm doing and I need to cut something. Trackin'? Or another example would be I don't wanna freak the sheeple out by pullin' out a full size Grippie.

See, "just in case."

AND it's an excuse for a new knife...

Hope you get the Mouse Lite sooner than 6 weeks. It will be worth the wait. You really get more for your money with the Lite more than the one with G10.
Enjoy.

AG Russell ATS-34 Pocket Lockback.

I suggest it because it's just completely different from our usual tactical-looking pieces, and yet has up-to-date materials. It's great as a whittler, letter-opener, and loaner.

I have two, and carry one off and on as my second knife. Right now it has a place on my survival keychain.

I second that. It's been my EDC for years. Very easy to carry and useful.
