It looks like the Norvox mod is the replacement of the lanyard pin with a second screw/spacer. The bottom pic shows the mod. The top pic does not.
 
Apacheeboy clean your inbox: responding to your message: You take the original black lanyard, cut a piece of it and put it through the lanyard pin. Then you burn the tips on both ends and flatten it so it can't come out of the lanyard pin. Put the lanyard pin back on the knife and it will make sure it doesn't rattle.
