Small 25 for my first CRK?

You can't go wrong with either but I edc a Lrg Micarta so you know where my vote is:thumbup:

Can micarta be refinished if I send it into crk? That's the only thing I'm worried about. Can they make the knife look like new?

I keep thinking that the main reason for the blade stock thickness increase in the 25 is because of the use of the Umnumzaan's ceramic ball. If that is the case, it will be interesting to see how Chris designs a new small 25, and if it incorporates thicker blade stock, a smaller ceramic ball, no ceramic ball, or if he gets the 1/8th inch ball and the .125 blade stock to work.

Whatever he comes up with will work great, rest assured.

Yes, its the only inlay model that they can/will reblast.

The micarta, and the plain are my favorite models. Tough choice, and if I had to pick only one it would be tough.

Awesome thanks guys, you have all been so helpful. I'm set on getting a Small 21 with micarta now. I wasn't sure if they would reblast it or not. I love how the micarta looks.

Besides, if you decided to sell one to get the other when (and if) they do come out, you would get most of the money back you paid to begin with. Good luck!

9 times out of 10 this has not been my experience. "Most" is a relative term.
Having to sell a $40 knife for a 10-15% hit isn't too bad.
10-15% stings a little more with a $400 knife.
Just sayin'...
