I’ve been given a knife that I’m having trouble identifying, can anyone help with a little history? It’s Marked on the blade with A. G. Russell, Springdale Ark. USA., Solingen Germany. & A. G. Russell 1977.

It’s approx. 170mm long with a double edged blade of 70mm long. Manufacture seems to be from one billet and has a large diameter lanyard hole. The finish is a high gloss (chemical or chrome?) black. Overall it is A1, the edge and finish look to have never been touched. It came in a Gerber sheath.

I believe the knife you are refering to is th eA.G. Russell - Sting

Came in several variation and is even found in two sizes Large and small. I have have examples with wood, stag scales as well, so there are several varieties. Yours is the SMALL variety.

That is if it looks like these.
