I've always liked the Swedish barrel knives, just never got around to building one until now. This is a small one that could be worn around the neck, or attached to your keychain. The barrel is made from Masur birch at a length of 1 3/4"s, the blade is self made 96 layer Damascus from 1095 and 15n20, with a 1 1/2" cutting edge. The internal frame is brass and 2 1/2"s closed, 3 7/8" fully opened.
Asking $150, shipped in the CONUS, international will cost extra.

Nice to see something different!

Really well executed.

Just wondering what keeps the whole package together?

What I mean is, the blade/handle in the barrel?

Is it just compression?

Yep, that's the key to this one, the frame fit's just tight enough not to slip either way when open or closed.

Nathan, that is very cool. I have had plans on making one but have not got around to it yet. I like that you keep it fresh with new styles.

....your name is Nathan...right?:o
