Thought I'd go ahead and post some of my most recent work here. Since the fire I have now been working out of my garage for little over a month now. Here's a small belt ax forged out of a chunk of 5160. The head is just under 5" with a cutting edge of 2 1/2". The haft is 16". The knife blade was forged from a piece of agricultural tine and its 3 3/4" with an overall measurment of 7 1/2". It has wrought iron fittings and an elk tip handle. The fly just invited itself.

Very, very nice. I would love to see close ups of the blade and ax head. That tine looks like it makes a great pattern.

Keith, Here's a close up of the knife. The patina on the blade is something I did and not from the steel. Each time I take a picture its set up and tear down simple because I don't have the room so my pictures very in quality. There much better than they were a few weeks ago but still room for improvement.
