Small Busse Blades

At work it's my skelly warden for sure. It takes a beating and just laughs. I use it as a chipping hammer and guys are like what the??? Lol as they shake there head.

Don't really have a definite favorite, but the Nuclear Muskrat and Anniversary Mean Street are pretty nice for me. I've never had a Nuclear Muskrat, though so I'm just going by pics and specs I've seen….

This modded Busse is my current EDC / Utility blade . The AD , Meaner , Game Warden grip shape is a perfect fit for my hand , but I am not too crazy about choils on small knives . At .170 " thick INFI strikes a good balance between slicing ability and strength .

Posting pics. of my Busse BoneyActiveDuty (BAD) next to my Swamp Rat Rodent Solution (custom shop).

Those two Bussekins are quite similar in size, both beeing small knives with handles not having that small knife feeling as most small knives do have, with the handles on the Rat beeing a tad larger than those on the Busse.
Both are awesome small knives...

I don't get it?

I've been reading a lot of older posts, and I can't for the life of me find it now, but it reminded me of a member's sig line:
"I just don't get small knives like the NMFSH"

I thought that was quite funny! :p

My first small Busse was a Basic 3, which I liked more than I thought I would. A Mean Street followed, and I still enjoy this model although at .25" thick it is a little too thick for some tasks. My next one was a Leaner Meaner Street LE, and as much as I like the handle on the old MS, the LrMrS handle is even nicer. I then got a Leaner Meaner Street SE 2007. Next was a Boney Active Duty (BAD), and I still use this; I like the fine point on the BAD. I later acquitted a Cultellus, Hairy Carry and a Muskrat, and I really like the Muskrat blade style. I held off for awhile on the Steak Knife, but I could not resist the thin, hollow ground blade.

So depending on the job, there is a small Busse that will do most anything. The Mean Street is incredibly strong, and the Steak Knife does a great job at slicing and more precise cutting.
