I keep one of these in a day pack in my pickup along with a knife, saw and fire making materials for spur of the moment hikes.
Forged from 1085 high carbon steel
Differentially heat treated with the edge at about 58 Rockwell and the body considerably softer (The edge cannot be sharpened with a file, use a stone)
Hand made ash handle. look closely, there is some curl.
Cutting edge: +/- 2 3/4 inches
Head length: 6 1/4 inches
length of the handle from the head to the tip: 13 3/4 inches
Includes a simple leather edge cover
