Forged from 1080 high carbon steel
Heat treated with the edge at Rc 58-60 with three normalizing cycles for a fine grain
The edge is highly polished and cannot be sharpened with a file, use a stone like you would a good knife
White ash handle
The head is 6 1/2 inches long with a 3 inch cutting edge
Length from the but to the top of the head is 14 1/2 inches
