This will fit nicely in a day pack, under the seat of a pickup or like a customer told me it works it the kitchen too. He spits chickens with one.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 like I would a large chopper knife. It will need a stone to sharpen, a file will just skate on the edge.
Convex grind with a forced mustard and gun blue patina on the flats
Cutting edge is approximately 3 1/4 inches and measures 8 1/4 inches from the top of the blade to the butt
Professionally stabilized curly maple handle
Leather edge guard

The small camp ax that shows on BF has been sold but I have a camp axe from 52100 on my work bench now. It is one piece of steel that would take a set of scales like a knife. Is this the style that you had in mind?
I also have a tomahawk that will take a wooden handle (haft).
I could have either of them done in a few days with a leather edge cover for $190 delivered within the US.
