This is one of two small knives I designed specifically for those hikers/campers/backpackers who prefer a short fixed blade. The sheath incorporates a Gerber style clip which allows a lot of carry options. Specs:
The 3"(tip to plunge) blade is flatground from 3/32" 154CM that has been cryo'd by D'Holder. It's satin finished(600), with a LOT of distal taper and a convex edge. Makes a nice little cutter. The handle is long enough for a 4 finger grip and the scales are from stabilized Silver Maple crotch burl. It has copper mosaic pins and lanyard tube liner. The handle is a full 3/4" wide to provide the user with a strong grip that provides good blade control. OAL is 7 1/4" and the weight is 4.2 oz.
The sheath is 8/9 oz veggie tanned bridle leather; saddle stitched with a blade welt. It's sealed with Sno-seal(beeswax). It incorporates a 3/8" wide Gerber clip for handly carry options.
