This knife is special in two ways, one it looks great, two it is a great prep knife. I made a bunch for the last two Christmases (lucky friends) and its a favorite, I have one I use all the time. This is great for salads, chopping vegs, fruit, cheese. All the small things we prep every day. The front of the handles are scalloped to give a nice grip on the top of the blade for chopping onion and garlic and other spices. Nice wide blade prevent fingers from banging on cutting board.
