Small Classic Sebenza; does it get any better?

Just picked up a very slightly used small classic Sebenza, and am just wondering if it gets any better for an everyday carry knife? Yes, it did cost more than I normally like to spend for something I am planning on using a lot, but this sucker is rock solid! Big enough for just about anything, but the blade is not too long to get into legal trouble. Where I work, I cannot carry a knife unless the blade is under 3" and this one comes just under that restriction. I know you can spend a lot more for a true custom, but why?(other than shear snob appeal)

IMHO, the small Sebenza is the perfect pocket knife; clipped inside my watch pocket.

It's my daily carry.

I wanred a user too and bought it slightly used and saved $50.

I have had a small classic Sebenza for 6 years and it is still rock solid and seems to get smoother all the time. I take it apart and clean it quite often and when I put it back together, it is exactly the same as when I bought it. It is precision made with tolerances like no other I've seen.

No offense to you guys, or to CRK, but I have to say that I would take a Benchmade 705 over a small Sebbie, any day (unless someone gave it to me, and I was allowed to immediately sell the Sebbie). I could buy the 705, then have some customization work done, with the money I saved.

Still, if the Sebbie makes you happy, more power to you. I'm not planning on buying one, but you should thank me; there's one more out there for you to buy!

Danbo:

Trust me. The Sebenza, whether large or small has loads of "snob appeal".

Also, IMHO, about the finest folder, production or custom, at any price, out there.

Enjoy!

Just for "drooling" purposes, could someone post a good picture of the small Sebenza, please?

Thanks,
Will

e_utopia, I have a BM 705 and carried it for a week.

IMO, it does not feel as solid as a Sebenza, does not lock up as tight, the handle is too thick for the size and it does not have the CRK guarantee.

Other than that it is a good knife, but there is no comparision.

WOW!!
Thanks for the pictures, guys!

Rick: What is the scale material on the Sebenza in your picture? Some kind of hardwood?

I have a small Sebenza that I carry everyday, also. I didn't think that I would like it's size as well as the large Sebenza, but after carrying it for a while, I think it's perfect. I never leave home without it or my LCC/MA.

Been carrying my small Sebenza almost exclusively for over a year now, and love it more than ever. I also don't think it gets much better, unless you were to go with a wood inlaid like RGRAY.

The wood feels great, but I can't bring myself to use it.

I am a custom freak, but I also carry a regular small and Umfaaan quite often. The above is a safe sitter. I do not own any customs with better lock up, but most are a little smoother. In short geat knives for the buck for what you get. It is a very high quality knife.

It is impossible to tell the scale from a picture of the small Seb by itself. Here is a pic of some Sebs (large and small) and Umfaans. The small Sebs should be easily discernable.

Danbo- i had a small for about a week. It was too small. Maybe I'll get a big one someday. It's a well made knife, but pricey.
