Small Classic Sebenza, Mammoth Ivory

Thanks Norm. I am going to send it off to CRK as soon as I get it to have them put in a damascus blade. Can you imagine how sweet that will be with that 40,000 year old Ivory? :D :jerkit: :D

This is the most perfect and beautiful object I have ever owned.
You can feel the warmth in the Ivory. It almost glows in the dark, the Ivory has a mystical quality to it.

This knife leaves in the morning for CRK to have a additional damacus blade fitted.

When it returns it will be photographed and documented then treated with Renwax and loveing placed in the safe.

This one is NOT a user. Wow. Just wow.

Jim

Good for you Jim! The day before you got it I bought a Harold Corby folder with polished G10 scales and ATS-34 blade and anodized liners. Got it for $450 and didn't want to lose the opportunity as he only made 10 of them. But when I saw this the next day I _almost_ wish I had held off!

Just incredible. What kind of damascus did you specify? And what was your address again and when do you leave home exactly? :D ;)

Looking forward to seeing pics of the final product.

Regards,

Norm

Sure more pressure...... Geez I HAD NO IDEA THAT THERE WAS EVEN A CHOICE! I need to call CRK today.:o

BEAUTIFUL knife bigjim!!!! I'd definitely have to agree, a Damascus blade would look great with that handle. I have a couple of Lg. Damascus Sebenza's and there a many varieties. There are different patterns like, Raindrop, Spirograph, Sharks tooth, Basketweave, Fireball, Reptile, etc... recently Devin Thomas made several versions in a Stainless Damascus which is a little better (IMHO) than a "standard" Damascus steel blade if not kept lubed properly. I have been on a "waiting list" since October for a replacement blade for one of my Sebenza's and was given a "guesstimate" of around a year.... depending on WHEN/IF their supplier (Devin Thomas) can supply them with a new shipment. Not to rain on your parade, but just be patient and hope one comes along soon, and be sure to post pics if you get one !!!
