Here is the first in a small series of clay hardened fancy-utility type knives.

Specs:
8.5" OAL
4.25" 1095 clay hardened blade 3/16" stock
Burgandy/Maroon paper micarta
Nickel silver thong hole
Mosaic front pin.
Custom Leather sheath (right hand)

this is what happens when your crappy net service goes down for a couple days, I'll have to keep an eye out fir the next in the series.
 
I really like seeing the hamon in smaller knives. I also like the way you've showcased the grain of the micarta. Those two characteristics really draw me in. The blade shape has a nice profile for an EDC.

Whenever I look at a knife, I think about how I'm going to carry and use it. Since so many people freak out at the sight of a sheath hanging off your belt, I really like the IWB carry for EDC fixed-blades.

Unfortunately, this is not a popular choice for sheathmakers. I think that the reason is simple: you can't really showcase your skills in this format, can you? On the other hand, if I were to carry your knife in an IWB sheath, the knife would spend a lot more time out in the world, and your knifemaking skills would be better showcased.
