This was kind of an experiment on my part..This was made from a 3/4" square bar of 1080 steel Ive had laying around for several years..Its the first like it Ive made..The cutting edges are appx 2 3/4" wide and the head is 7" long overall..The handle is straight grain and coated with boiled linseed oil..Wedged in top..It was edge hardened and tempered. Very sharp, polished edges. Lightweight as well..It might make someone a nice little pack axe.
