Small EDC Choices

Do that ;). The Cyclone is another of the awesome "mid-low priced knives" Kershaw has.
One on the higher side is the R.A.M., though I'm looking forward to their iteration of the new generations of the G&G Hawk design.
 
I agree both the skyline and thorn are very nice edc's but the thorn has the D2.blade which I really like and are an easy one to customize I resprayed mine flatish black and used a bit gold chain down the centure but the mini covert is a very handi little knife also

Skyline's G10 is too gripy for me. Gives me the "scratch the chalkboard" feeling when I reach in my pocket for it. Otherwise I like it quite a bit. If you don't mind the handles, it is an awesome knife for the price.

I too have tried LOTS of knives out, and in the sub-$100 range I LOVE the Delica 4, Caly 3, BM (HK) 14210. Sub-$40 range I LOVE the Boker trance, mini-cyclone, and JYD I. Lots of other ones I still need to try out though!

Is the Dozier Hunter's clip set up for tip up or tip down carry?

You could sand down the clip side underneath where the clip contacts the scale. Just take proper precautions if you do because G10 dust is toxic from what I've heard. I agree the draw is a bit stiff but over time it will smooth itself out.
 
I just got the Dozier hunter in aus-8 for twenty it's a keeper, nice and light, tip-up carry.
 
Thanks for the reviews- nice presentation! As much as I like my Delica (my first clip- carried for over 10 years) my current favorite in that size/use range is the Mini-Griptilian. I'm pretty shocked that this thread got this far without someone mentioning it.

You do have me lusting after a Delica with the ZDP blade, and I will definitely check out that Skyline first chance I get!
 
some of my favorites atm are bm 930 940ti 770 cf, and the caly3. theyre certainly expensive though

I would highly recommend this knife, its only around 65 dollars for this handle, you can get a skeleton handle with it for about 50.
 
id say that the new spyderco sage looks awesome. im gonna be getting one for myself pretty soon.
