For those like me who prefer a compact knife. The elk antler came from a spike and does not have the deep texture normally found in this handle material, however it came out as a unique material. I stabilized the antler in a vacuum bath of linseed oil and mineral spirits which gave the handle a nice golden tone.

Beautiful knife Gerry! I love the one that I got last week! Folks if you have never owned a G L Drew knife then you are missing one of the nicest, sharpest blades around. Wonderul finish and attention to detail...........did I mention sharp also?

Nice knife Gerry.
