Anyone know a good field sharpener that would fit in the pouch of the Black Hawk sheath that comes with the Green Beret knife?

DMT makes one small enough to fit on a keyring. It folds flat. Do a search for DMT sharpeners here, and you will find the one I'm talking about. I think it is the dia fold or mini fold. Something like that. When folded, it is maybe 2" long. www.dmtsharp.com is their website.

How big this pouch is?
DMT Double Sided Diafold makes 130x30x10 mm package when folded. If this would match the pouch it would be pretty hard to find better field sharpener – lightweight, fast, safe and easy to work, not brittle.
Quite expensive but efficient and durable enough to justify the price completely. For field use I would go with coarse/fine (blue/red) one.
If it doesn’t match the pouch just put it into your backpack or pocket ;)

I have the knife...it is at my house right now. I'll find out how big it is when I get home. But that might work.

Try a Stirling Sharpener, with carbide edge inserts for knives and scissors. They are 3"x1"x 1/8"thk.I've used them for years. They have a key ring hole at each corner and only weigh a couple of grams.here's the address from my sharpener-P.O.Box 358,Diamond,Mo.64840-(417)325-4256--approx. $16
