I am new here, so I will explain how I put this knife together.
I bought a ready-made blade from Two-Finger Knife. They are in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They do the profiling, bevels, heat treat, polishing, and sharpen before selling.
The knife itself is new, never carried, or used. Only sharpened at the factory before I bought it.
The sheath is slightly used.
Blade length: 2 5/8"
Overall Length 6 1/4"
Thickness: 1/8"
Hardness: 58-59 RC, Mar-quenched, whatever that means
I glued the fiber liners to the scales with cyanoacrylate gel. Then I shaped the front part of the scales. Then I glued scales to tang with slow-set epoxy. Then I glued pins with slow-set epoxy. Then I finished shaping scales.
Then I put 7 coats of Tru-oil.
Issues:
1. A light scratch running length-wise on the right-side bevel. It goes just to the edge and stops; it does not cross the edge.
2. Patina on blade. They say Flitz will remove it, but I don't have any Flitz.
3. Dremel scars around the edges of the tang.
4. Voids in the burl I did not fill. Don't know how to fill them, but the Tru oil filled them a little.
5. Wood finish is kind of hazy.
6. Crack in the sheath belt loop. It does not go all the way through.
The sheath I bought off of ebay. You see "JT" stamped on the back of it. Those are the initials of the ebay seller. I had used it for another knife, so it is just slightly used. I re-formed it for this knife. It is treated with Sno-seal. I apply the Sno-seal by finger, then set it in the oven, at 125 degrees, for 20 minutes. Then I repeat that procedure a second time.
For knife and sheath, $47 shipped within ConUS. I will sell to the first person who expresses the wish to buy it, in this thread. PayPal is preferred, but I will also ship upon receipt of Postal Service money order. No checks.
