small fixed blade utillity knife

If you don't want/need your small utility knife to be bombproof, and a nice, inexpensive slicer is your cup of tea, consider the AG Russell Woodswalker.

I have been looking for an excuse to get the Izula and with my big lineman hands I am glad to hear the Izula 2 will definitely suite my needs. What is your guy's take on the sr 101 in the scrapivore vs ESEE 1095 in the Izula? The prices are similar and if the sr101 will give me a noticeable difference it maybe be worth it since both knives are very similar. I will also get a couple more mora's just because the are a great deal but I like the idea of carrying something slim and bomb proof.

Lots of Izula love in this thread for a good reason. Also have a look at the Becker BK11 and BK14.

Izula for sure. I also have a BK-11, but it's definitely a three finger grip, which might be a deal breaker if you have big hands.

I was comfortable caring it this way when i I lived in georgia, now I have it on the inside of my pants on my hip since i've moved..

but these bad boys are hard to beat, I even bought my brother one..

You might check out the Buck Paklite Skinner or Paklite Caper. They are both US made, warrantied, lightweight, and inexpensive. I don't own either yet, but am about to purchase one (probably both).

SR101 is definitely a little better though it may not be noticeable through normal use. One thing about the scrapivore is that I've heard they're on the short side handle wise. I was going to try one before I heard that.

hey ISKski love the pics, what kind of sheath are you rocking in your pocket in that pic? is that the ESEE sheath with a clip added?

I own the Izula and it is definitely worth the money. If you need a small EDC fixed blade, that's the one to get!

I was on the Scrap Yard site earlier today and that 311 that I said was comming out soon is now available for sale . At $69 it's very compairable to the Izula II and a much more sturdy knife .

Wow! 3.5 inch blade that's 1/4 inch thick? It's strong and all but what if you need to actually...you know...cut something? :D

:)Becker 11 or 14. $40 and 30 respectivly. Both are great!!! Plus Beckers are better peoples!! :foot:

Izula 2 will accommodate even huge hands. But if you are wearing it on your belt maybe you can get away with an ESEE 3 or 4. I drop the izula 2 into a front pocket and it disappears. It works but sometimes when I whip it out I feel a little inadequate.

LOL... Sounds like a personal problem. : )

The Izulas are nice... I've given them to some of the women in my life, largely because they're cute and don't have a choil. Unless blade length presents a legal issue, I can't imagine why anyone would carry an Izula over an ESEE 3--way more knife and just as easy to carry/conceal IMO.

Well I am definitely not looking to conceal it since that violates Oregon law. though if the handle sticks out of a pocket it is not concealed so...

Strider Ed from TNK. I just got mine in today and I think it's awesome. It's a little over 70 at 95 shipped, but it's S30v with a great sheath. check it out

Probably not as heavy duty as the Izula but consider the Benchmade Nim-Cub II. I really enjoy mine for an EDC. If I am going to do some heavy field work though I will use either my Ka-Bar or my Kuhkri.
