My turn to ask for suggestions...so I decided I want a new folder for EDC and I'm sure u will give me great help.
The requirements are:
- folder, locking
- steel: whatever (stainless preferred to carbon)
- 2,5'' to 3'' blade
- satin plain edge
- no assisted opening
- thumbstuds
- removable clip or no clip at all
- weight possibly below 4oz
- price below 60/70 usd
Since I'm going to trust ur recommendation for my choice, and buy the knife online without seeing and handling it before (no blades shop around here) I'd like to get suggestions about knives u have personally owned and used and appreciated (otherwise I could just search online). Thanks!

Two knives I like that fit the criteria are the Kershaw Leek and the Zing, though it's more practical to use the flippers on them to open the blades rather than their thumbstuds. Of the 2, I like the Zing more.

Thanks for ur suggestion, u reminded me of one feature I hadn't written in the requirements.
I have no experience with Kershaw's assisted opening and flipper so I would like to know how it works...and overall I would rather prefer a totally unassisted knife.

The Kershaw Zing is a very good suggestion. Another knife you may want to look at is the CRKT Drifter (stainless steel frame-lock version.)

My Emerson mini A100 is my favorite but I'm not sure about pricing on a used one. It's a linerlock with very grippy G10 and a simple design. Clip comes off and it fits well in pocket

Blade length approximately 2 7/8".

Yeah, I second the mini grip suggestion. I'm not sure about the weight requirement, but if it's over 4oz, it should no t be by a lot. Spyderco Delica in FRN is another great lightweight choice.

I knew the Mini Grip would come out early on this thread, and I guess it's one of the few well known knives that fit my requirements.
I admit I have some doubts about the Axis lock due to the fact I never had or handled one, so I'm open to other options as well.
I do own Spydercos but I wanted to avoid the thumbhole for this new knife...otherwise I guess I would pick a Native.
Still hope someone can explain me a little better about the Zing's flipper opening, and of course I wait for other suggestions.

Buck/Strider 881 if you can find one. It fits what you're find other than satin finish & offer quite a bit in respect to its price/size.

If you want something fairly inexpensive, if you can find an old CRKT lightfoot urban shark... Actually just saw one on fleabay (I am not associated in any way to the listing, so you know)...

I carried a Gerber Paraframe for the longest time. Very unfortunately I lost it though. but you can get one for around 20 bucks so it's not like you are losing your life savings. They are pretty rock solid and hold an edge pretty well.
