Hi Everyone,

Pretty new to the Spyderco world. Pretty much sold everything and into Spydercos now. I have a custom southard, poliwog g10. Spydercard. Looking for a small folder. Maybe meerkat or navigator. But open to ones that are still in production. Like manbug or dragonfly 2. Something smaller than the poliwog. Not a fan of the cricket blade. Any suggestions. Thanks.

You'll have a lot of options with the Dragonfly 2. Plenty of choices in blade material as well as handle material. The knife is big enough to handle most urban EDC tasks without being overwhelming to non-knife people. Additionally, its relatively cheap price point combined with the number of blade materials and styles available means you could have a Dragonfly for every task. :)

I'm in love with my Dragonfly 2 in ZDP. It's the Goldilocks of EDC knives IMO. Not too big, not too small. Feels great in hand, cuts like a laser and has awesome edge retention.

I really really dig the Talon-like blade shape on the Dragonfly. I am seriously considering a G10 Dragonfly, I just wish it was a 3 inch blade.

I find that every Spyderco I like I want them with a three inch blade, regardless of steel and handle construction. I'm just weird like that I suppose.

Dragonfly is high on my list. I also love the meerkat plain edge not the s shape. I like the phantom lock and the deep carry clip. Hard to find them tho. I would buy one for sure if I did.

I just got a dragonfly 2 last week and thus far I love it. It's small enough that people don't get freaked out when you use it but big enough to handle the tasks you usually run into every day, and the ergos are great for such a small knife. I got it in orange as well to further appear non-threatening.

Haha! I know exactly what you mean - I used to think that anything under 3" was a toothpick. Two things changed my mind: 1. I moved to a state that has stupid strict knife carry laws. 2. I got a Dragonfly 2 :p

I've found the DF2 can do pretty much everything I need it to on a daily basis at the office or at home. I also appreciate that it's much less intimidating to non-knife folks than a 3" would be.

Yeah, I'm gonna get one...soon.

I just got it and man it really impressed the heck outta me, the Foundry is a knife that really needs to be given a look over by many Spyderco fans as it has great steel, a R.I.L. lock (which is really as good as it gets) a great pocket clip, is super slim at 0.33 inches wide, and has a really great blade shape. Yes, I wish that the scales were titanium but once you read about it that is not what they were going for with the Foundry. It is to honor all of the carpenters in this great country of ours so they threw two of the best carpenter's steels that exist at it. Plus, the ergos are just amazing. It just melts into the hand and is not too big and no too small. Perfect IMO.

Sold this bundle for a great deal in another forum a while back. Just a quick size comparison to a few other Spydies

Manix 2 LW
Tenacious
Delica 4
Dragonfly 2

You'll love either the Delica or the Dragonfly. Just can't go wrong with either.

For a small knife you cannot beat the Dragonfly G10 and the Dragonfly Nishijin.

Also, the Cat is pretty nice too. The Chaparral is about the same size.
