Excuse my ignorance here BUT...what animal does jig bone come from?

Also I must say that your knives over the past 6 months have gotten alot more "professional" looking, not a knock on the old ones at all. The knives and pics are way better, I pretty much come to BF only to look at your newest knives.

Good question - :thumbup:

The stockmen knife came out in around 1890. It was sold out in the west mainly.
And the most common handle material for this knife was jig bone.
The bone coming from the shin bone of cattle.

Thanks for the looks. Maybe some day if you look enough you will have to have one. :D
