You aren't cheating.. we all go through knife phases..

I prefer larger knives as long as I am not going somewhere that a larger knife would be frowned upon. I also prefer small fixed blades to either folder large or small...

I used to prefer small folders to all else... things change haha

Small folders are all I carry. It started out because of my local laws but now even when I travel out of town where larger knives are allowed I still prefer smaller knives.

Its whatever is newest to me is what im carrying...i went from carrying my millie and lg. seb to my mini CQC-15(not really a small knife), and today i just got a spyderco calypso jr which is even smaller so i know how your feeling

I seldom carry anything larger than a 3" blade.

well 3" is my max per the law. my ideal size would probably be around 4" with secondary smaller blades, but for now a spyderco paramilitary is the largest blade i EDC.

G. Sakai makes some terrific small folders, originally carried by Spyderco long ago, nice if you can find them.

4" is the largest i typically carry but since> im not on the job iv been more comfortable with a < 3" folder!!!

These, along with a Queen canoe, are my most commonly carried knives. None have a blade over three inches.

The only time I take a larger blade is if I'm going on a hike, and thus far this spring, my most common outdoors companion has been my Izula, and it too is under three inches.

IIRC The Para is a little over 3". That's what prevented me from getting one, because of my local laws.

The blade, yes. The cutting edge is just under under. Since I consider the finger choil part of the handle, the Para is, at least in my mind, a sub-3 inch knife :D. It's still a beast though.

I used to carry this one day in and day out in the 80's. Retired now though it gets a weekend pocket ride now and then. :D

I like smaller blades......Get a little more control over the knife for intricate cuts and I theres not much I cant do day to day with a > 3 inch folder...

I like to carry an Izula most days but for a backup, my Benchmade 940 is a sweet little folder. :)

Most all of my edcs are 3.3-3.5 inches however lately I have been getting the urge to carry something a bit smaller. I might have to grab one of those leafstormsss...

I carry both. Big and small I mean.

I usually carry a Spyderco Cricket because its blade shape is very unique. It is a hawkbill (reverse s-shaped) unlike my other knives so it's not a redundant shape and yet not scary for a hooked knife because it is small.
