Small forge - paint can & sawdust

For makers on a very tight budget, new makers looking for a cheap forge with which to try out the hobby, or a maker who is jury-rigging while away from the shop, here is a link to a rather unusual small forge made from nothing more than a paint can with a hole in the side and some sawdust packed in it. Just remember, forced air is your friend.

Necessity is the mother of invention..so true here.. glad that people are still being creative and thinking outside the box.
 
I can see me doing a demo using a forge like that.
Hey Ray!! I can see it too. But you'd have to set it on a table or something to not have it on the ground, lest you toast your tootsies in those ever-so-stylish forging sandals of yours. ;) :D :D

Greg, I think my wife tossed my sandals. I was going to take them to Eugene but couldn't spot them. There were good for another year or so.
