This is a small EDC knife done with a full convex grind.

serial number 314

OAL: 6.5 inches

Blade:2.75 inches. Blade is made from 1/8 1080 steel, differentially tempered and ground with a full convex, which also provides a moderate distal taper on the forward half of the blade.

Blade is finished to 400 grit and the full convex grind is stropped using a JRE strop bat. Shiny. Some forge finish marks are left on, fading from the hilt forward.

Handle scales are by fod- shadetree phenolics. This is the deep green burlap phenolic, and has a nice and subtle pattern. Pins are 316 stainless stock.

Sheath is an expedition style, with removable or reversible belt hanger that can be set up for RH or LH carry. (RH carry in the photographs). A little extra room have been left in the horizontal straps for making it easier to mount to a pack strap or belt.

Asking $150, with $10 for insured US shipping, $20 for Canada. paypal and money order preferred, checks are okay.

Thanks!
Christof

You and your wife sure make a good team! Very nice EDC, a little small for my use but that's what I thought of the small scandi you made a couple of years back. The best paring knife I have and will be with me the rest of my life, then on to the kids.

Probably my favorite design of yours. I think that would be one perfect all around knife. Love that burlap too.

okay, photo tomorrow. I got sucked into a range trip :)

I guess I'm gonna do more of these.

it's somewhere between an LBK and a small skinner. I like small skinners as general utility EDC knives with a few changes to the profile. They tend to cut well and fit in the hand with a smaller handle :D

Candlelight- the 3/32 works well for this size, I've got some more coming down the pipe. But for this type of full convex grind on the relatively broad blade, I was pushing the limits with 1/8, I dunno if I could get full convex on .095..... a slightly narrower blade I could.

I think you should make 6-12 of these all the same as this one..

I would take one.. I really like this knife and the scales are very nice..
