Small game hunting?

Ok, I need a folder for small game hunting. And I need help, especially since I don't have much knowledge of what type of blade is best for this kind of work. I'll use it mostly for gutting and getting the meat out, but it should be able to handle skinning as well. I primarily hunt grouse, pigeon and crow - and a squirrel or rabbit every now and then. What I want from this knife is: FRN or G-10 handle for winter use, preferably an open handle design for easy cleaning, excellent handle ergos for perecision blade control, good corrosion resistance and a blade size and shape suited to my needs. If the knife is cheap (a Byrd would be fine), that's another + as it can get lost easily. What to get? Cara-cara and Flight looks nice to me, but I really don't have a clue?

Don't know much about the Byrd line, they'd probably suit you fine, but I'd suggest a Delica or Native. I prefer my Native slightly, but both have cleaned numerous pheasants, turkeys, doves, etc. For 40 bucks, a wally-mart Native will do you well and won't drain your pocket, if you don't mind doing business with that particular establishment.

For small game I would suggest a drop or clip point blade about 2-3” (50-75 mm) not too wide or too thick with a comfortable handle. I think that the Centofante 3 drop point would make a very good small game knife. For birds, you might also want a pair of game shears.
