Here is one of my small game knives in 1095 and Hickory! Perfect for small game, upland birds, turkeys, also works nice for a stream fishing knife!!
Also, small game season starts here in Wyoming in 5 days!!!! {Sorry, just had to put that in there, I get excited for small game season every year :} }
OAL- 7 3/8"
blade- 3 1/2" long, .110" thick at the spine, .045" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .012" thick at the shoulder of the edge. 3/4" wide
steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench { most of the blades width on these narrow blades} and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to resharpen!
grind- a full flat grind, sharpened on a Smiths 325 diamond hone with micro bevels, to an agressive razor edge
finish- 400 grit finish on the bevels under a blue scotchbrite belt finish
handle- Hickory with brass pin and black micarta spacer, brass guard. handle is finished with 400 grit so it looks good yet isn't slick
sheath- clean dyed leather with cam built into the welt for a snap in fit
weight - 4.25 ounces with sheath
