A stainless/carbon laminated blade was something I've wanted to try for some time so in the midst of a larger project I'm working on, I made this.
Also, kitchen cutlery is something I'm interested in but have not explored much.


It's a 52100 core with 416SS sides. The blade is about 4 7/8" long and less than 1/8" thick where it meets the handle. OAL is 9 3/8"
The handle is blackwood and Koa with a warthog tusk spacer.


I didn't leave the black oxides that you see on most laminated blades and the shinyness of the SS isn't showing in this photo but with use, the colours in the patina will really look nice in contrast to the stainless.

oh, that is very very nice. tasteful and elegant. I didn't see the price - anyone remember?
