I have smaller hands....big everywhere else tho. My question is are the Becker handles going to work for me? Will a handle from an esse work better?

The tweeners have smaller scales, and the BK16 is a great knife.
If you choose a "full sized" Becker, you can buy the TKC g10 scale if the stockers are too large.

Size wise, any of the above will probably be fine.

Becker and ESEE's handle shapes are a little bit different and that is where you might like one over the other. Only one way to find that out.

I have small hands and the Becker scales work fine. The smaller models are no problem at all, the larger models you can always swap out the plastic scales that come with them, replace with micarta (or G10) that are available for purchase, and file or grind them down (with appropriate air filtration) to whatever works best for you.

Try a BK15 or BK17 - they have very nice scales that are not as bulky as most other Beckers.

I'm 5'3" and female and have never had any trouble with the Becker handles, full-size or tweener. Currently have a BK2, a BK5 and 2 BK15s. The tweener handles do fit my hands much better, but I've never found the larger handles uncomfortable or felt like I was going to lose my grip.

The tweeners handles are a perfect fit for me. The handles of the larger beckers aren't bad though. I think you'll be fine.
