Here's yesterday's take from the shop, she's a beauty.

This is a small hunter for big or little hands. Small enough to hardly notice, but large enough to get the job done. Sculpted gunstock handle is comfy, attractive, and practical.

CTS-XHP @ 60rc, .157" thick, hollow ground
3.5" edge length, 8.7" OAL
Box elder burl stabilized by K&G
416ss hardware
Slightly convex edge stropped to shaving sharp

I'd like to get $185 shipped w/ buyers choice of made to order sheath.

Nice work Ian. Carrying one of your babies today, the cardboard is just plain scared of it... Russ

What a steal Ian, very clean once again!

Thanks guys. Some knives I finish just "feel right" when I pick them up, this is one of them. I'm not saying my other knives feel wrong, it's just one of those intangible things. I think this is a perfect piece if one was looking to edc this style of knife.

Thanks for the comments everyone. :)

The edge was about .015" before sharpening, but it is a variable grind and widens a bit at the tip to help prevent breakage. I'd have to put a mic on it to be sure. I don't usually run much thinner than that on a hollow grind, depending on wheel radius and how the grinds meet up, the edge can start to get floppy or weak.

Build a sheath and they will come. ;)

I might make up a sheath as bait if this doesn't move. I wish I had room to price drop, but there just isn't any on this one. I already priced it at rock bottom hoping to move it quickly. Out of all the knives I would have guessed to sit, this isn't one. Undyed Box Elder Burl just about doesn't come much better than this, and XHP is a rock solid performer at 60rc.

Absolutely cant believe this is still around. This blade should be 300 easy. I think its just a bad time of year for knives with christmas bills and the taxman coming.
