Small INFI BUB

The chisel blade really helps the maker...ez to make and sharpen. I just like the simplicity of that shape.
Pohan Leu will answer the tough questions! :D

Are you talking a chisel grind like the old CRKT Stiff Kiss has?

Why not just send a skinny NICK to Grinducci?:D

I don't care for the chisel grind, from an aesthetic point of view a knife is only one sided.

Greg---This as a zero grind. It can be high or low on the blade. The geometry of the edge is as important as the HT. Chisels do not require a special heat treat. Just ask Garth.

Like the one on top?

I'm confused. Please clarify bud.:)

Gatman, I had a Cultie, and was totally neutral on it. I will say this, the handle was mighty comfy. I felt the blade was too thick for my needs at the time, so I sent it to Horton.... he got drunk.... and ground it into oblivion, .068" thick IIRC.:D He liked it so much he bought it from me.

GregS---I meant Kev. Sorry.
Brav---that's a sweet blade and there's something familiar about it. :D
You can see some CG's on the Leu site.

Bravado---Great little Busse.
I'd like a little Japanese style blade on that one. :)

Huh? BT4? That's a Busse apprentice, I got it at Blade in 92 straight from the Mans hand.

Wow, my bad.. It looked alot like the BT-4:O Lemmeh try to find a picture..

EDIT: Found one, not a really good one, but you can see how I made the mistake!

Some folks would Complain about getting Hung with a Brand new Rope.

Basic #3s are out there unloved and uncared for.

Game Wardens that people are too Lazy to regrind.

Why Re-invent the Wheel?

I have seen Grinder Front Designs with Deep Hollow Grinds.

How about a deep hollow grind on one side and semi flat or even Chisel on the other?

Papa---You just described the Horton spider :D...did you know that?? ;)
OK...git what youz like. Thanks for the replies.

Every single time I get a quality neck knife or small fixed blade, it ends up in a drawer some place. For any knife under a 4" blade, I prefer a folder. Bring on the Busse folder!

THIS. INFI blade, 3-4", titanium framelock, G10 or Micarta on the opposite side, ASH-1 or GW or HG55 profile. Definitely an HG55 mini folder would be awesome!

How about the reincarnation of Lil'Ugly as a back up blade !!!
(for me it would be ideal if it was 3/16 in thick)

Not to try and rain on your parade, but if you were neutral on the Cultie, the BAIII may not be what you are hoping it is. And the funny thing is that the standard cultie is one of the thinnest knives Busse has made. The BAIII is thicker.

I bought my BAIII thinking it was going to be the perfect knife. It was highly coveted by all, and i kinda bought into the hype. After owning it for awhile, and liking it it fine in satin with snake, I realized that my Cultie was actually the knife I needed, while the ABA was just another nice knife.

Good luck, though. YMMV
