Hello BF,

I have a large Inkosi and was going to pick up a Small Inkosi for an EDC.
Started looking at the Small CF 21 Insigno and now very torn between the two!

Does the Insigno blade bring more to the table in terms of cutting an EDC use?

thanks,
Havoc

As with most knife stuffs, whether the Insingo form brings more to the table depends on your use in EDC.

An Insingo blade will bring a more controlled cut, but a less practical blade in general, such as where slicing & dicing so not require precision, just needs to be cut.

Where the line doesn't need to be followed. Just another option from the Sebenza. All hail the mighty Sebenza.

I have both and love both. As far as real-use, you won't likely notice a difference. Any choice based on subjective preferences will be more meaningful than any objective performance differences.

With that being said:
The Inkosi has thicker bladestock and, just due to the blade shape, more belly.
The Insingo has a more pronounced hollow-grind and a lower tip, so tip cutting can be done at a lower angle.

You probably know about the differences on the rest of the knife already:
The Inkosi has the ceramic ball lock-face, and the small 21 has the titanium lock-face.
The Inkosi clip is offset while the Small 21 clip is straight.
More contours on the Inkosi handle.

So, which ever looks nicer will be your favorite, I have never realized a difference in daily use because of the blade differences.

I'd rock the small 21, better small knife ergos for large hands, and you get the bushing pivot with classic lines, also better small knife cutting geometry with thinner blade stock, and deeper hollow grind so it will move through cuts better.

The small inkosi is a very small blade, if you really want the features of the inkosi, I'd go large.

Thanks for the replies fellas!
After reading your comments and looking at the small Inkosi I decided to go with the small CF Insigno or Black Micarta Insigno. Leaning toward Black Micarta Insigno

I agree with Deadboxhero, after EDC'ing the large Inkosi the small will be too small.
And the pivot bushing will be a bonus

My vote is for the Inkosi. I think it is the BEST knife that CRK has ever made. I absolutely LOVE mine.
