Small knife?

Sounds like your stats mimic a Strider PT :) and its very similar to the dragonfly. If you can find one at a dealer they come in right at 300 before shipping.

that's a big "IF" on finding a PT in stock. I have been looking, I think a CC would be nice. They're just hard to find.

I've been looking at the Spyderco's a lot. They're my second favorite maker so far. The Equilibrium looks nice. For what I'll be using the small knife, it would serve well I think.

That's an interesting knife! I might pick one of those up. It's only $19 on amazon!

You should. It has a relatively unique (But very awesome.) opening mechanism -- the blade is attached to a cam, which is controlled by a lever; so, just by turning the lever 90* degrees, you will have fully extended the blade 180* degrees. It feels like it's assisted, but it's completely manual.

I've no idea why there aren't more folders with this mechanism (Outside of OD-1, and, I assume, other Lee Williams knives.) -- I assume that Lee Williams owns the rights to this exact version, but I don't think that would prevent other people from designing their own take on a cam opening mechanism, since you can't trademark or copyright the mechanical concept or idea of a cam. Maybe it doesn't work very well on bigger knives or blades.

Take a look at the smaller Kershaws. I have a scallion and a clash that are small and work great! The clash is about $22 on the "big river website".

Second on the OD-1/2. I gave an OD-1 to my brother 6 years ago. He still uses it every day and the knife has held up great. He likes it so much, I got one for myself.

I'm not one to sit around flipping a knife open and closed for kicks and giggles, but the opening cam is awesome. I agree, I'd like to see it in more knives.

Kershaw Random Leek! S30v steel under 3" I got mine for $80 on amazon that was awhile back though.
